Do you remember the first vinyl record you ever purchased?
First album I ever bought was this ‘Chicago Blues’ compilation on Spivey Records (1962). Found it in a junk shop in West Texas for $1. Still, one of the best purchases I ever made. Knew who Willie Dixon was, so I figured the rest of the players were just as good. Still gets regular rotation on my turntable…

Yes, we’re looking forward to Turkey Day, with all the food, football, friends and family and such, but we’re ready for Christmas, too, and that means CHRISTMAS VINYL!
We at Classic Waxxx are starting the holiday season early (but not as early as most retailers) with holiday vinyl GALORE. From now thru December 31st, you’ll be smattered with ample amounts of Christmas album and 7” single covers, reviews of vintage holiday LPs, and a collection of awesome Christmas songs, culled straight from our very own vinyl. The pops and hisses are just as warm and inviting as a winter’s fire!
