Have you heard Jack White’s cover of Loretta Lynn’s “Coal Miner’s Daughter”, made exclusively from the Third Man Record Booth during Record Store Day 2013 at Third Man Records???
Adrian Lloyd “Got A Little Woman” Single - Sundazed Music, US (1965/2013).
*Of all the Record Store Day purchases we made this past weekend, no other release surprised us more than this Sundazed Music reissue of Adrian Lloyd’s “Lorna” / “Got A Little Woman” single. The cover looks like your typical, innocent, mid-1960s teen heart throb record, a la Perry Como or Pat Boone. The music inside the sleeve is anything but. This is probably some of the raunchiest garage rock we’ve heard in a long time, and we have to sincerely thank Sundazed Music for sourcing out this rare little gem, and unleashing it back onto the public!
Presented here is the B side of the single. Oftentimes, the flip side to any record is a gem in itself! Can’t find much in the way of info about this guy, but check out his fb community page.
If you missed out on obtaining a copy of this record, you’ll sure to be able to find it on eBay for a decent price. We highly recommend scoring a copy! Did we mention it was pressed on clear yellow vinyl?
So, what did everyone get for Record Store Day 2013? We’ll break down our haul with a few reviews, pics and some audio this coming week.
Know what we like as much as vinyl? Art dedicated to vinyl! Here is Napkin Art Studios’ silk screen print tribute to the 45 adapter! We here at Classic Waxxx do consider ourselves slight record and music snobs, but not when it comes to vinyl reissues, like Sundazed Music’s “The Velvet Underground - Singles 1966-1969” box set pressed on colored vinyl!

So, we scored the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs single “Sacrilege” today. Even though their “Mosquito” LP doesn’t drop until April 13th, we’re pretty excited to play the heck out of this limited edition, red vinyl release, thus ruining its potential resale value…
Received the new album, Comedown Machine, from The Strokes yesterday…Clear vinyl edition, which is limited to 1,000 numbered copies, and includes their first single, All The Time b/w the non-album b-side, Fast Animals. Not a bad album, so far. The jury is still out on this one, but enjoyable, non the less.
Classic Waxxx parent company, Napkin Art Studios, has released the third design in its line of custom printed 45 record sleeves. “Vinyl Junkie” sums it all up for us. Spice up your singles collection with these bitchin’ 45 sleeves, all hand printed with 100% water-based inks. Now available here.
NEW CLASSICS: Brendan Benson & Jack White “Steady As She Goes” Demo Single - From The Vault - Third Man Records, US (2013).

Bob Dylan and Columbia Records will be releasing a limited edition 7” for Record Store Day on April 20, 2013. Side A contains an unreleased demo of “Wigwam” while Side B contains the previously unreleased track, “Thirsty Boots.” Both tracks are from the forthcoming “Bootleg Series, Vol. 10.” No word on how many copies this release will be limited to, nor what the “Bootleg Vol. 10” release will consist of, but rest assured, this sneak peek will be worth getting.

Hey folks!
Just to let everyone know we are an official seller in the Discogs Marketplace now, should you be on the lookout for new and vintage vinyl. There are still a few things we are looking to add to our shop soon, so check back periodically for vinyl goodies!
We recently signed up online for Discogs over the weekend, which is a great way to catalog your collection, as well as buy and sell vinyl, too. The Crate Digger app for iPhone is also a cool tool, and works in conjunction with your Discogs account. Shopping for records and not sure what you have or don’t have? Just refer to your Crate Digger app and it will show you what you have in your collection.
So far, we like Discogs, though much of our Jazz and blues singles don’t appear in the database yet, which has been frustrating, and adding music info to the database seems to be really tricky and time consuming. We certainly appreciate all who have taken the time to build the website’s database!
We have yet to try out purchasing vinyl from Discogs, but we’ve heard nothing but good things. Sometimes you can find what you are looking for here, rather than eBay, and prices seem to be generally on par or better than eBay seller prices.
If you are a Discogs user, let us know what you think about the site/service. Our username is ‘classicwaxxx.’ It’ll take us a while to catalog our singles collection just by itself! Hopefully, we’ll get the hang of it soon, and those missing singles will show up in the database, too!
